  • About Us
    Jonathan Ashby-Rock and Philip Ryder are two of Londons most exciting young producers.
    In 2012 Jonathan and Philip founded London Contemporary Theatre Ltd and have since produced more than of 25 Productions. In 2015 Jonathan & Philip took over the running of The Paul Robeson Theatre in Hounslow rebranding it as Hounslow Arts Centre. Ashby & Ryder Ltd was formed to facilitate the General Management, Production Accounting and Producing of their larger productions.
    They are the current UK Producers of Stig of the Dump, directed by Luke Sheppard and Associate Producers on American Idiot, UK Tour.

At Ashby & Ryder Ltd we are able to assist producers with Tour Booking, Production Management, General Management and Budget Consultancy.     Training – Redroofs Theatre School

    Jonathan started working in the industry as a teenager in 2004 working backstage with his Father, this quickly emerged into a full time thing and he has never looked back. This is Jonathan’s 10th year in the Industry. He has worked in many areas including, Stage Management, Tour Management, Company Management, Lighting, Sound, as a Musician, as an Actor, as a Writer and as a Director. In 2012 he founded London Contemporary Theatre with Philip Ryder.

  • Philip Ryder

    Philip has been working in the industry since 2008. He has worked in many areas including, Company Management, Musical Directing, As an Actor, as a Composer, as a Musician and as a Director. In 2012 he founded London Contemporary Theatre with Jonathan Ashby-Rock.
    Training; Philip trained at The Royal Berkshire Academy and Peer Productions before being mentored by the West End Star Peter Polycarpou & National Theatre Director Derek Goldby .
